| Admission Policy Admission to St. Michael's
School is on a first-come, first-served basis, with parishioners of St.
Michael's Church and students currently enrolled given first priority
during the initial enrollment period.
A child's name is placed on
the mailing list prior to enrollment. Those on the mailing list will be
given early notification, but are not guaranteed enrollment.
Registration forms are sent to parents each January for enrollment in
the next school year. The form and a non-refundable registration fee
should be returned promptly since classes can reach capacity very
quickly.
Registration continues throughout the summer. When
classes are full, waiting lists are formed.
In order to receive a
registration form you'll need to be on our mailing list. Please provide
the following information
either by e-mail or phone:
- Parent(s) name - Address with zip code - Phone number & Child's name and date of birth
Also, please let us know if you are a member of St. Michael's Church,
or if you've had a child attend St. Michael's School in the past.

Nurturing environment Our goal at SMS is to
create an environment where children feel safe and excited about
learning.
Strong academic program
Beginning with the three-year-old classes, readiness skills for
reading and math form an important part of everyday activities.
SAFETY FIRST! Coded door locks help to keep
everyone safe. Parents are given their "code" at the beginning of
the school year. We also have sign-in and sign-out procedures that
are used by parents if their children stay for our extended day
program.
Music program The set of Orff
instruments that we have at SMS give the children hands on
experiences with instruments sized just for them.
Art
program A strong art program gives our students
opportunities to discover their own artistic talents.
Spanish The children at SMS have weekly Spanish
lessons during which they will learn colors, numbers, and a variety
of other phrases.
Chapel Each Friday
morning all the children and teachers gather together for Chapel.
This is a time to sing, listen to stories, and to celebrate
birthdays.
Learning Center Permanent
activities in the Learning Center include a carpentry table, a light
table and housekeeping area.
Library
Each Monday is Library Day. Children go with their class and check
out a book for one week. |
